Kris grew up on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. After he and his dad had been passed one too many times on their Sunfish, he learned to windsurf. He eventually moved to Hawaii in search of the big waves, but has never forgotten his Blackfish Creek roots.

Kris has spent most of his time sailing the waters of Oahu, but also lived on Maui, and enjoys traveling to new spots. He works as a commercial pilot and flight instructor while also studying engineering at the University of Hawaii.
