Grew up in Long Island NY, sailing with my dad and the local boys of Long Island. Sailing the Sound and the ocean, with many trips to Hatters and Aruba as a teen. Freestyle skiing then took over, from 1997-2001,but now windsurfing has been the focus since then, with each day being a progression of the previous.

Currently, "Ruffus" dominates at all the local spots in New England, and continues to find new spots along the New Hampshire and Maine coast that have been thought of as too dangerous to sail out of in the Nor'Easters that tear up the coast. Launching at these once "Too Dangerous" spots, he has created a new buzz in the area, that is stirring up the spark again, bringing the sport to another level here in the ocean, that has the news media watching, and other windsurfers drooling.

Using his excellent surfing skills, coupled with years of freestyle skiing competitions, has enabled him to take the new freestyle movement, into conditions where other are just looking to survive.
