I sailed the Koncept 7.5 today in about 10 knots. Barely whitecapping on the ocean. Tons of bottom end!!! Planing the whole time. The guys on kites couldn't believe it. They were only just going.

Just used the 6.6 koncept again at Sandy Point. The wind was around 30 knots but I still didn't get overpowered! Even on the trip back upwind with the tiny 22 cm fin was great with no sign of being thrown off. Does this sail have a top to its huge range?? I'd like to try to find it! The speeds done that day(42.7 max and 41.2 av) were the fastest for this year on the gps site. It's also worth noting that it's the 10th fastest overall but all the others above me were on custom sails or boards or both. All of them were on smaller sails in more wind. This doesn't mean the sail is top end specific as I use the 6.6 with the same downhaul settings and almost the same outhaul in 18/20 knots, doing 39 knot runs consistently.All my gear is production inc mast , sail board fin etc. Since working in a sailboard shop I have been a believer in the idea that sponsored sailors should use and promote gear that anyone can buy and not compete on custom gear.
The koncept is so user freindly that going fast is fun again and makes 4 hr + sessions possibly without unessary fatigue.
I can't wait to try the 5.8 which is bound to be more efficient in a good blow.

We had a very nice day to work try out the new 7.5 Koncept today. A nice South Westerly sea breeze around 12 knots, lulls to 9 knots and the odd gust to 16k. The Koncept range just gets better and better. This sail is soooo nice. It is rock steady stable but has that nice light, slightly flexy feel that gives you great feedback. It was blisteringly fast in the very light winds and very easy to pump up in the lulls when needed. The draught did not move in the gusts, it just went faster with the same light, stable feeling. I am sure it would still feel good for me in much more wind. I can't wait to try it in 15-20 knots! When wind faded to 10-11 knots I sent 58 Kilo Ann out to try it. She was cruising around in almost no wind and loving it! She could not believe such a huge sail (for her) was so easy to sail. This sail is fantastic!

Just sailed the 5.0, what a great sail is that! I had a GPS top of 72 km/h (38.9kt). Rigged on a North Viper 60 400 mast, it looks really good!

The new KA 5.0 Koncept was sensational. I thought Mal would be a bit underpowered on it but he was still pulling 38's and 39's all day on his Slalom Board.

A fun day sailing. My hand foiled fin worked well with the new KA 5.0 Koncept even in light winds. At times there was not enough to get going, but once underway it would consistently pull 38's in wind at times barely 20 knots. The sail seemed to revel in going fast, particularly at tight angles to the wind. Sensational!

After KAOS and Kontrol, (finally) my Koncepts arrived. The wind was sideshore 18 to 26 knots and the guys were ripping
on their 5.3 . 5.7 m2 wavestuff.
I was tempted to do exactly that, but I just had to find out about the Koncept! Was it really that special? Well, I hooked in................
and never stopped for another 5 hours. This sail does its work so effortlessly that it just deceives you: it is truly unbelievably fast and stable.
And there is more: because of it's great lift and easy camber rotation it is a great WAVETOOL for very high and long jumping and high speed racegybing
on your slalom- or freeride board. I think the Koncept will eventually be regarded and recognized as a milestone in windsurfing.

What a astonishing sail is the 6.6 KA Koncept. I was surfing in marginal conditions with a 120 liter board and the 6.6 KA Koncept. It was a great pleasure to windsurf, with most riders on 7.2 to 8.5 sails. Two other riders used it: a 150 lb guy and a 210 lb guy - they had only good words about the sail. Cool stuff. Wind was around 10 to 13 miles and gust 13 to 17 miles.

This was the first time I could compare the Koncepts against other manufacturers speed oriented sails. I can tell you the Koncept is much easier to use than most other sails. If there was a competition in rigging, sailing 20 kilometers and derigging, I could be at my 5th beer by the time number 2 finishes. ( and I'm a slow drinker ) Did some tuning for the PSL event, had a great time and did 42 knots on GPS with the 6.6 Koncept on a tiny slalom board.

Used the 5.8 at Cairn Curran in central Victoria.
Gusty NW to about 30kts, choppy with some smooth protected
areas. This feels just like the 6.6 with even more control.
Anyone who uses freeride boards and doesn't have these two
sails are seriously missing out. Just two sails to cover
12 to 30+kts has got to be the go.

I had my Koncept going all Saturday (March 20 2004)
at Sandy Point (Victoria, Australia) on my Sonic.
It kicked arse. As wind increased, so did the speed difference
with others. Talk about closing the gap, how does resting
sail foot on back toes sound. Wind was up and down with
strong fronts coming through, never altered a thing, the
sail just took it all. draught stayed put.

Sailed 6.6 late this arvo in 20-25 kts wsw. Wasn't
sure if it was too strong for the sail. No way! Could
have handled more, easy.
I wasn't too sure as I rigged the sail if the stability
would be there. I was wondering if there was enough
luff curve. I downhauled it pretty far and outhauled
to (as I measured later) the exact length printed
on the sail (195cm). After an hour or so the wind
faded a bit to 15-20k with pretty bad holes up the
northern end. I let the outhaul out a centimeter and
it still felt really good. I little more backhandy
in the gusts coming upwind but still really good.
No worries pumping onto the plane after jibing in
a hole. Pumps really well! Good bottom end!

That is the best sail I have ever used. It does
not 'depower' or overpower. It just seems to always
have the right power. It has the best of a no cam
sail and the best of a cammed sail all in one package.
