Koncept 2004

Slalom/Speed...

The Koncept is our new high performance range to replace the small formula sizes. Sizes are 5.7 and 6.6.

This sail will appeal to those who just want to go flat out.

It is still a relatively light sail with only 3 cams. The stand-out feature is it's "sliperyness" - there is no limit to it's top end speed.

It has been designed as a step towards KA's (still very secret) attempt at the outright sailing speed record 2004-2005

What riders say about this sail:

Tony Lorenz:
I had my Koncept going all Saturday (March 20 2004) at Sandy Point (Victoria, Australia) on my Sonic.
It kicked arse. As wind increased, so did the speed difference with others. Talk about closing the gap, how does resting sail foot on back toes sound. Wind was up and down with strong fronts coming through, never altered a thing, the sail just took it all. draught stayed put.

Andrew Daff:
Holy COW!! You are either very arsey or a very good designer!! ;)

Sailed 6.6 late this arvo in 20-25 kts wsw. Wasn't sure if it was too strong for the sail. No way! Could have handled more, easy.
I wasn't too sure as I rigged the sail if the stability would be there. I was wondering if there was enough
luff curve. I downhauled it pretty far and outhauled to (as I measured later) the exact length printed on the sail (195cm). After an hour or so the wind faded a bit to 15-20k with pretty bad holes up the northern end. I let the outhaul out a centimeter and it still felt really good. I little more backhandy in the gusts coming upwind but still really good. No worries pumping onto the plane after jibing in a hole. Pumps really well! Good bottom end!
You seem to have hit it spot on.

Tony Salmons:
That is unbelievable.
It so fast and stable!! I HAVE to have one!

Peter Cleary:
That is the best sail I have ever used.
It does not 'depower' or overpower. It just seems to always have the right power. It has the best of a no cam sail and the best of a cammed sail all in one package.

6.6 Available now. Other sizes coming.
