KA Sailing

Kaos 1998

The KAOS theory. When Blair Simpson, and the rest of the new wave crew came on line, they demanded their sails be lighter, faster and have maximum visibility, so as not to impede their new style of power wavesailing. Enter the KAOS wave....

Designer: Ben Severne.

Target Market: Competition Wave

Rig Requirements: Correct mast an advantage. Constant Curve carbon mast as per individual sail specifications.

Design Brief: Light, highly maneuverable competition level wave sail.

Design Overview: The ultimate in wave design. Inspired by power needs of the KA wave team with significant input from the likes of Jane Seman & Blair Simpson.

Features: Total vision and total performance combined in a super high performance, no compromise design. Light yet tough, with smooth power to deliver speed and control through a wide range. Superior 10 sail range to allow the optimum size for any situation.

Materials: Reinforced X-Ply, Warply Luff. Super tough 175 micron monofilm. Triple taped X-seams. Double layered batten pockets. Internal Kevlar reinforcement in head and tack. High quality tapered Vinylester battens. Cam lock batten tensioners with non slip webbing. Integrated 6:1 downhaul.

Tuning: Moderate downhaul. Medium variation outhaul adjustment for best range.
