413km in a Day!!!

Perth sailor Steve(Snides) Schneider has achieved what could be a World Record by sailing for just over 12 hours and recording a total distance of 413 km for the day at the Mandurah estuary south of Perth. Starting at around 8.00am on a 6.7 Severne Code Red he came in about noon as the wind freshened and changed to his 08 Koncept 5.8 .He stayed with that sail for the rest of the day. Stopping only for some water and half a packet of "snakes" he continued through until 8 pm.

An absolutely incredible feat. Congratulations Snides.
