KA assistant designer Martin Love got the opportunity to put a 2011 Koyote 7.4 through it,s paces today. In varied conditions from 13-23 knots he was highly impressed with its excellent allround performance.
Melbourne sailor and recent Koyote convert, Michael Green, was kind enough to do a thorough appraisal of his new Koyote and send us his impressions.

We have some good news from the 3S magazine weekend slalom event which is part of the "World Windsurfing Week" events. Thiseas with a KA 8.3 Koncept took 2nd place in the Men's slalom category with a field of 44 racers. Also Giannis Genimatas with a KA Race 8.9 took 12th place. In the "young blood" category Bill Tabakopoulos (12 years old, first time racing) with a KA Kaos 4.7 took 4th place.
Well done everybody...
April,2010 Koncept gets a rave review from UK Windsurf magazine...
The April edition of UK Windsurf includes a "freerace" sail test. The Koncept received nothing but the highest praise. In summation this is what they said...
"Very manoeuvrable, easy to use and extremely fast. Brings an excellent level of plug & play to competitive speed/slalom sailors and freeracers alike"
Locate your nearest KA Dealer or Ambassador and take one for a spin, you won't be disappointed. Grab a copy of the April Windsurf Magazine while you are at it...
April,2010 Farrah wins bronze at the Formula Worlds...
US KA rider Farrah Hall, USA3, has finished with a podium position at the recent Formula Windsurfing World Championships in Argentina. With the cream of the international Formula sailors present this is a fabulous result both for Farrah and for the KA Team.

Mar,2010 KA joins the PWA and Jesper Orth joins KA...
KA has taken a great step forward by joining the PWA. This is an exciting move for the KA brand, but far more exciting is the news that the extremely talented and knowledgeable racer and sail developer Jesper Orth has signed up to the Team.
JP van der Wolde, a 15 year old KA racer, reports on the figure 8 slalom racing held in
Curacao on the last weekend in January. All we can say is how exciting it is to have a
bunch of young
sailors sharing the stoke of windsurf racing....
Most Aussie's celebrate Australia Day with a BBQ and a few drinks with friends, but fanatical wind surfers have a much better way of saying happy birthday to Australia, they windsurf with their mates!
Craig Spottiswood,Tim Gourlay and Matthew Robinson cruising the Swan River, Perth on a tandem. Great stuff!!!
Jan,2010 LOC Slalom photos...
Jesper Orth kindly sent us some action photo's from the Slalom racing at Lancelin, Western Australia...
KA riders have performed admirably at the 2010 Lancelin Ocean Classic, Australia's premier Windsurfing event. Jesper Orth who has been testing some KA Koncepts for the last few weeks finished a fantastic 2nd in the Slalom and 7th in the Marathon, a fleet of over 200 containing some of the top European Pro sailors including the legend Bjorn Dunkerbeck.
Annika Gillgren finished 2nd in the Marathon behind Karen Jaggi, an awesome performance.
Other great performances from KA riders were wave sailor Ben Newson finishing 20th in the Marathon, Speed demon Craig Spottiswood 24th and Matthew Robertson 34th, both in their first Ocean classic ever. Spotty also finished 9th in the Slalom. Great effort Guy's.
We will have some detailed reports, comments and photo's of this classic event soon...
Jan,2010 Tony is official GPSSS World Record holder...
KA Team rider Tony Wynhoven has become the first ever GPSSS World record holder for his 10 second run of 47.89 knots set at Sandy Point on Sept 27th last year.
His record was set using a KA Koncept 4.4 and KA McDougall<>Lockwood 21cm Speed Fin on an F2 Missile XS.
Tony's record combined with Craig Spottiswood's all time fastest 5X10 second well and truly confirm KA as the leading brand for speed sails and fins.
Awesome stuff Tony!!
Here is a great video that shows what GPS Speed sailing is all about. No it,s not just Spotty breaking records, but a group of mates enjoying some friendly rivalry and pushing their limits.
Over the Victorian Melbourne Cup weekend the KA Team hit Sandy Point armed with 2010 Koncepts and KaRace prototypes to test. A lot of fun was had and on a serious side much back to back testing was conducted.
What a tough job some people have...
Ka European Importer Peter Weitenberg
had a very nice session trying out his 2010 Koncept 5.7 for the first time. He was suitably impressed.

July,2009 Koyote impresses...
Yesterday while I was rigging a guy approached me and asked if I liked my KA Sails. He then told me how he purchased a Koyote last season and thought it was fabulous. His words were "really nice and easy to sail with and fast!!! It's great to have a sail that makes you a few knots faster than your mates..."
It is really gratifying to get feedback like this.
Go to the Koyote page for full details on this fabulous ,versatile sail range.
Ka,s assistant designer, Martin Love, has an alter ego, that of GM Holden Exterior design manager. On Friday night the Holden VE Sportwagon, a vehicle for which Martin lead the design team, was honoured with an Australian International Design award. Well done Martin and the Holden Team.
A fanatical Windsurfer and designer, Martin spends his "free time" Windsurfing, assisting Andrew with designing the KA range, or designing boards. Wait until you see what he has cooked up for the 2010 Sail range, you won't be disappointed !!!
