KA Sail Dominates World Moth Championships

The 2008 World Moth Championship held recently in Portland UK from 5th-11th July was the most successful ever from a KA perspective. We dominated the fleet with our sails, the top 18 boats using KA sails or sails designed by KA. The top 4 boats were the Bladerider designed by KA. Andrew McDougall, KA's CEO and chief designer blitzed the field in 4 races and took second place overall, also becoming the 2008 Masters Champion. Results: here Videos: here

The International Moth is the worlds most unrestricted racing sailboat and has developed into an awesome flying machine. It is capable of flying on the foils in under 6 knots of wind, easily doubling the wind speed. The sails developed by KA for the Moth fed the development of KA's windsurf sails and visa versa, helping to create the worlds fastest speed and race sails across both disciplines.

The 2008 event fielding 99 entrants was the largest collection of foil bourne sail craft ever assembled and was won by Australian John Harris who sailed a very consistent series.
